Rest Day Fun

We all know that rest days can can just suck! Usually they're lower carb, you're not working out, you probably don't have plans for the day either except for work, class, or a date with Netflix and a Pint of ice cream, beer, or a bottle of wine, and you know I'm right.

Heres what I do to get past the shitty boring days we all hate called rest days.

My usual rest day starts with getting up at the same time as normal, but right now there is no normal to my sleep schedule, so i'll end up setting my alarm clock for 8 hours of sleep.

On rest days I have a little fun with my eating by trying new recipes or combinations of stuff, sometimes it works, others not so much...

Along with the eating, I do my meal prep for the next 2-3 days on rest days, it works out well for me because of how my rest days end up falling in the week.

Rest days are also for planning out the rest of my training week, looking at goals that I have for that week, and what I have left to do for it, and planning to reach those goals.

Lastly, have fun on your rest days! go out and do something, you have a free time block to fill in somehow and it's up to you how you're going to use it, so make it interesting!

Rest days are a blessing, you just need to take advantage of them as best as you can.
